Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information RecruitmentGuide.com.ng (“we”, “us”) collects, how it is used and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.

1. Information we do not collect

You do not need an account to use this site. We do not ask for passwords, bank details, national identification numbers or similar sensitive identifiers, and you should never send them to us.

2. The Recruitment Eligibility Checker

When you use the checker, the answers you enter (for example your qualification, course, classification, graduation year, experience, NYSC status and, only where an age limit is published, your age) are sent to our server to calculate the result and are returned to you immediately. We do not store these answers in our database and we do not link them to you. If you tick “Remember my answers”, they are kept in your browser’s session storage on your own device so that you can reuse them on other opportunities during the same visit. They are cleared when you close the tab, or when you press the clear button, and are never stored on our server.

3. Saved deadlines

If you use “Save deadline”, the opportunity title, employer, closing date and link are stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. We do not receive this information. It will not synchronise between devices and will be lost if you clear your browser data or use private browsing.

4. The contact form

If you write to us, we receive the name, email address and message you submit, and any other information you include. The message is sent to us by email and is not stored in this website’s database. We use it only to respond to you and to review corrections. To limit spam, the form uses a hidden field, a time-based token and a limit on how many messages one visitor can send per hour; for the limit we keep a one-way hashed identifier for up to one hour.

5. Comments

If comments are enabled on an article and you leave one, WordPress stores your name, email address, website (if given), comment and IP address. You may tick the box to save your details in a cookie for next time.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

This site itself sets no tracking cookies. WordPress may set functional cookies when you log in or comment. See our Cookie Information page for details, including cookies that may be set by analytics or advertising services if the site owner has enabled them.

7. Analytics

We may use Google Analytics through the Google Site Kit plugin to understand how the site is used (for example which pages are read and which tools are used). Google may collect information such as your IP address, device and pages viewed, using cookies or similar technologies. You can opt out using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

8. Advertising

We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar services. These providers may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before personalised advertising cookies are set.

9. External links

Our pages link to employers’ official websites and other sources. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

10. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and similar laws, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we hold very little personal data, requests usually concern contact-form emails or comments. Contact us through the Contact page.

11. Children

This site is intended for adults and young people seeking employment. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes

We will update this policy when our practices change and will change the date at the top.
