Editorial Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This policy explains how recruitment information on RecruitmentGuide.com.ng is researched, written, checked and kept up to date.

Sources

We start from the official source: the employer’s own recruitment page, notice or application portal. Where an announcement appears only on social media or in a newspaper, we try to find the employer’s official confirmation before publishing it, and we say plainly when we could not. Every opportunity links to the source we used.

What we record

For each opportunity we record the employer, role or programme, location, application dates, official application link and the eligibility criteria exactly as published. Each criterion is classed as required, preferred, not specified or not applicable. We do not invent requirements, salaries, dates or employers, and we do not treat a missing requirement as a pass. Where information has not been published, our pages say “Not stated in the published information”.

Verification and dates

Each record carries a last-verified date. An opportunity is shown as open only after we have confirmed it against the official source, and is automatically shown as expired once its recorded closing date has passed. Articles show an “Updated” date only when a genuine change was made, such as a new requirement or deadline; typo fixes do not change the date.

Original writing and use of automation

Articles are written for readers, not search engines. We do not publish unverified, machine-generated recruitment announcements. Any drafting aids are checked by a person against the official source before publication.

Independence and advertising

We do not accept payment to publish, change or promote a vacancy, and we do not charge applicants. Advertising, if shown, is clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial content.

Corrections

We fix errors promptly and openly. See our Corrections Policy.
